WebJun 18, 2016 · ok so my OC'd 1080 FE runs at 80c with fans at 100%. my question is would it be worth it to trade it in to a 1080 acx 3.0 SC or FTW edition even if i have to settle for slightly lower clock speed for lower temps if i dont get as lucky with the lottery. so far ive gotten 1817 base 2114 boost 5508 memory stable. any insight on this would be great … WebDec 31, 2009 · A GPU should idle between 30 degrees Celsius and 40 degrees (assuming you have the driver set to "optimal power" and not "prefer max performance". This will keep idle clock speeds at around 300mhz and PCIe speeds at 1.0 (until needed). At max usage, your GPU should NOT be exceeding 85 degrees Celsius.
