WebMay 6, 2024 · Using Arduino Sensors. DROBNJAK August 23, 2015, 6:30pm #1. I need to measure a static angle of inclination, in degrees, around XYZ axes. I tried MPU-6050, but it seems that it only measures something if there is transitional or rotational acceleration. It just outputs zillion very different values, even when sensor is not moving. WebWear-free. posi tilt® inclination sensors offer contactless, wear-free, and absolute measurement of tilt angles ranging up to ±180°. The use of MEMS technology makes these sensors particularly resistant to shock, vibrations, and contamination. As a result, posi tilt® inclination sensors are ideal for use in outdoor applications.

The ecliptic changes in declination throughout the year from 0 at the equinox to +/- 23.5 at the solstice. So your inclination from the ecliptic would be the Declination of your object +/- the Declination of the ecliptic.
